Reporting a bug
The more of this you can include, the faster it gets fixed. None of it is mandatory — a vague report is better than no report.
- Your phone model and Android version. Settings → About phone.
- What you did, and what happened instead. The exact sequence matters more than the description.
- Whether it happens every time or only sometimes.
- Your scope's brand and model, if a borescope is involved, and whether it's USB or Wi-Fi.
- A screenshot or a short screen recording, if the problem is visible.

Where do I download InspectCam™?

Is it free?
Yes. The free app holds the light on, gives you a live camera view, takes photos and video, and has a level with roof pitch and Measure for quick checks (a rough check, not for code or safety). Free for everyone: the timer, touch lock, light dimmer, mirror and volume-button shooting. Dim the light on phones whose LED supports it, and the screen lamp everywhere. Pro adds jobs, the stamp and reports. Pro is sold in the US only, in the app through Google Play; the free camera works in every country. See what's in each level.
How do I delete my account?
Delete your account in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account) or on the web at files.inspectcam.app/delete. What that removes is in the privacy policy.
Does InspectCam™ work with my USB borescope?
On Android, plug it in: if InspectCam™ can show it, you see the scope's picture. Works with: Klein Tools ET16 (tested). Tested and doesn't work: DEPSTECH NTC55, Bazo DN200 and a scope sold as “Industrial scope W400”; they only work with their maker's app. Most scopes sold on Amazon won't work. The light goes out when I leave the app. Is that normal?
Yes. When you switch away from any camera app, Android closes the camera, and the light goes out with it. While you are in InspectCam™, it keeps the light on. If Android has closed the app while you were away, or after Back on Android 10 and 11, it opens with the light off: one tap turns it on. Zoom and focus lock are not restored, and a timer countdown stops when you leave. The light also turns off after 10 minutes untouched, or if the phone gets very hot. Tap the light to turn it back on.

Tell us. Corrections to the troubleshooting and compatibility pages are genuinely welcome — if a fix didn't work on your phone, or a device behaves differently from what we've written, that's worth more to us than a compliment.
We can't repair or replace borescope hardware, and we can't advise on scopes we haven't tested. For a scope that's dead in every app on every phone, the seller's warranty is the right route.
