InspectCam collects nothing about you. There is no analytics and no advertising. It declares six permissions: five for the camera and the Play Store purchase, and one internal guard that grants nothing.
Most apps in this category ask for a great deal and explain very little. This page is the opposite: every permission the app declares is listed below, with what it is for. If a permission isn't on this list, the app does not have it.
Everything here describes the version of InspectCam published today, and the date above is the one to trust. A later version that asks for something new, or stores something it doesn't store now, changes this page before it ships rather than after. Read this as a statement about the app in your hand, not a promise about every version to come.
Every permission, and why
These six are the complete set declared in the app's release manifest, read from the shipping build rather than the source.

The app has no internet permission for any purpose other than billing. It does not contact a server of ours, because as things stand there isn't one.
One detail for completeness, because "no server of ours" is not the same as "no network traffic at all". Google's billing library brings its own event-delivery components into the app, and they ship in the release build. That machinery belongs to Google and exists so a purchase can be verified. It carries billing events, not your usage, and nothing you photograph or record goes near it. We do not send anything through it and no third party receives anything.
What the app does not do
- No analytics. There is no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude or AppsFlyer in the app. Nothing reports what you do with it anywhere, including to us.
- No advertising. No ad SDK, no ad identifier, no tracking.
The Pro notification field
The app has a field where you can leave an email address to be told when Pro becomes available. What you type there is written to the app's own settings file on your phone, and nothing reads it again.
In the version published today there is no server to send it to and no code that would send it anywhere. Clearing the app's data removes it. Under Google's definitions this does not count as collected data, because collection means leaving the device, and it never does.
Purchases
Premium is a one-time unlock handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details — Google processes the transaction and tells the app whether the unlock is owned. There is no card number, name or address anywhere in the app.
The unlock is bought inside the app through Google Play. Purchase and restore have both been tested on a Play-installed build: after a full uninstall and reinstall, an owned unlock returns on its own without anything to re-enter.
Children
The app is a torch and a camera. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, and has no content directed at children specifically.
Changes to this policy
If the app's permissions change, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top will say when. If a future version collects something, it is described here before that version ships, not after.
