InspectCam collects nothing about you. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no account and no location access. It requests five permissions, four of which exist only for the camera and the Play Store purchase. It cannot read your existing photos.
Most apps in this category ask for a great deal and explain very little. This page is the opposite: every permission the app declares is listed below, with what it is for. If a permission isn't on this list, the app does not have it.
Every permission, and why
These five are the complete set declared in the app's release manifest.

The app has no internet permission for any purpose other than billing. It does not contact a server of ours, because there isn't one.
What the app does not do
- No analytics or crash reporting. There is no Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry, Mixpanel or Amplitude in the app. Nothing reports your usage anywhere, including to us.
- No account. There is no sign-in, no email capture, no profile.
- No location. Neither
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONnorACCESS_COARSE_LOCATIONis declared, so the app cannot request your location even if it wanted to. - No advertising. No ad SDK, no ad identifier, no tracking.
- No access to your existing photos. Explained in full below.
Your photo library
This is worth stating precisely, because "photo access" is where most camera apps quietly take more than they need.
InspectCam declares none of the storage or media permissions: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO are all absent from the manifest.
Photos and videos you capture are saved through MediaStore, Android's system mechanism, which needs no permission for files the app itself creates. The consequence is that the app can write its own captures and cannot read anything else in your library. Not your camera roll, not your screenshots, not your saved images.
The gallery button hands off to your phone's own gallery app through an intent. InspectCam doesn't read your photos to do that — it asks Android to open the gallery, and the gallery takes it from there.
Purchases
Premium is a one-time unlock handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details — Google processes the transaction and tells the app whether the unlock is owned. There is no card number, name or address anywhere in the app.
InspectCam is not published on Google Play, so no purchase can currently be made by anyone. This section describes how the unlock will work when the app is listed.
Children
The app is a torch and a camera. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, and has no content directed at children specifically.
Changes to this policy
If the app's permissions change, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top will say when. If we ever added something that collected data — we have no plans to — it would be described here before it shipped, not after.
